Jamie Gosling Football Academy is proud to run Far North Queensland’s first ever soccer scholarship program for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children.
The 12-month scholarships (worth $800) begin at the start of Term 4 and see local Indigenous children aged between 6-14 years offered free elite coaching and mentoring at the region’s number one soccer academy.
JGFA is now calling for nominations from local football clubs and the football community to identify talented players, with the successful applicants to train at JGFA’s Holloways Beach base.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity for the first time ever in the Cairns region for junior Indigenous football players,” said Jamie.
“When I’m at Endeavour Park on a Saturday watching junior games, I always notice how many talented Indigenous players I see out there.
